MAHA KUMBH
The Maha Kumbh Mela is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage that takes place every 12 years in India. It is considered one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, attracting millions of devotees and tourists from all corners of the globe. The festival is renowned for its spiritual significance, marked by ritualistic bathing in the holy rivers, particularly at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad). Since 3464 BC, the Maha Kumbh Mela has been celebrated every 12 years, making it undoubtedly the grandest and most vibrant spiritual event on the planet. For travel or documentary photographers, particularly those intrigued by people and cultural diversity in unique environments, there’s simply no other place in the known universe that rivals the captivating array of photographic opportunities offered by the Maha Kumbh Mela.

US$1500(Shared Accommodation). US$600 extra for single accommodation.
If you’re journeying alone and open to sharing accommodations, we’ll pair you with a roommate of the same gender on a first-come, first-served basis. Should we be unable to find a suitable match, the full single supplement will apply.

Day 1 : Arrival at Prayagraj
Day 2 : Mela Visit & Preparation
Day 3 : Mouni Amavashya (Royal Bathing)
Early in the morning proceed for the Holy dip (Royal Bath) at Sangam. Full day to explore the Kumbh mela, get interaction with Sadhu/Mahatma, and participate in Ganga Aarti at Sangam. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp.
Day 4 : Explore Kumbh Mela & Extensive Shoot
Day 5 : Drop at Rly Stn / Airport
After breakfast check out from camp and transfer to Railway Station/Airport for onward journey.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If you cancel your registration, then you will be charged according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:
Before 90 days or more: 25% of total tour fees
Between 90-60 : 50% of total tour fees
Between 60-30 days: 75% of total tour fees
Less than 30 days : Entire tour fees…No refund Applicable.
Fee Includes :
- Luxury tent with single accommodation with all basic facilities including western toilets.
- It will cover your main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), starting from 27 Jan dinner to 31 Jan breakfast.
- Mineral/Filter water will be provided.
- All local transports related to our tour
- Mentor’s fee for photography tour, on-field photography assistances and image reviews
Fee Doesn’t Include :
- Train/flight tickets to and from your place.
- Travel charges for pickup and drop to and fro Airport/Railway Station.
- Any additional food items or beverages during meals.
- Any personal habit, medication or expenses.

What do I get from this photo tour?
- A thoroughly guided photographic experience by an expert in the field who knows the places and events very well.
- Slide show presentation of photographs and information of locations and events before each day’s shoot.
- Guiding all participants about lens requirements, creative composition and camera settings on the field during photo shoot.
- Everyday review of participants’ photographs.
- Assisting in possible editing guidance.
- Guiding participants in finding photographic locations and vantage points for places and events.
- Helping in finding the local delicacies.
Am I eligible for this tour?
Anyone above 18 years (unless accompanied by a parent or guardian) is welcome to join this photo tour. I am new to photography. Will I join this trip? Yes of course. This tour is for all photography enthusiasts. The more you travel and explore, the more your photographic eye will open. Moreover, our team leaders will ensure to give special attention to the beginners. What equipment is required for this Trip? Well, even the point-and-shoot camera will work fine. If you have a DSLR camera, any zoom lens and a wide-angle lens will work, but preferably a full-frame camera with a faster wide-angle lens will serve best. A laptop with post-processing software, an extension charging board, an external hard drive, and extra memory cards will be helpful.
What is the difference between ASP Photo Tour and other tours?
We are not offering a package tour for general tourists; it is specifically meant for photography enthusiastic people and designed by experienced professional photographers. You will discover the place and learn a lot about this ancient city, its local people and their culture which is an important part of our travel photography. We will try to observe the local people, their daily activities and cultural beliefs and will try to capture those moments using the right compositions and techniques.
