Overview
If you want to experience a lifetime photography tour to traditional India, RAJASTHAN is the answer. The breath-taking landscapes of dunes, beautiful lakes, traditional rural life and spectacular architecture with wonderful people make Rajasthan more than a perfect place to photo-tour, and Royal Rajasthan photo-tour with ASP makes you achieve your dream with utmost satisfaction. Our trip itinerary covers the most photogenic places of Jodhpur & Jaisalmer guided by experienced mentors and technical experts in the field.
ITINERARY
This Tour begins at JODHPUR at around 12:00 pm on day one and ends at Jodhpur in the evening on day 6. Participants may choose to reach jodhpur by either air, rail or road depending on their preference, but transport between your home and our hotel in Jodhpur is NOT included in the Tour itinerary or cost. However, all required assistance will be duly provided. Finally, you will be dropped at Jodhpur at noon on day 6.
Jodhpur
Day 1 & 2
26 & 27 Feb 2025(Street & Night Shoot)
Meeting Point – hotel (12:00 pm)
Post Lunch :
We will start our tour workshop with a formal introduction meeting with all the participants followed by day’s shooting guidance with a slideshow presentation.
All participants will be acknowledged about the details and technical requirements of the day’s shoot of blue city street and other places. Later in the afternoon, our team will be exploring the some of the narrow alleys of the BLUE STREETS, Ghanta Ghar to unearth those untold blue-stories under the expert guidance of the experienced mentors. After shoot, back to hotel, having dinner and photo review and next day shoot familiarisation discussion.
Next morning we will explore the famous Turji Ki Jhalra, the ancient stepwell of the kings of Jodhpur with local models with traditional attire. Followed by we will do some gorgeous street shoot of marvelous wall art painting through the streets and the famous blue city, till the evening. After shoot, back to hotel, having dinner and photo review and next day shoot familiarisation discussion.
Day 3 Jaisalmer (Fort, Street & Blue Hour)
28.02.2025
In the wee hours, we will checkout from Jodhpur and reach Jaisalmer by noon in our hired vehicle. On the way, we will stop by to shoot the drying process of colorful Rajasthani turbans by the local people, namely RANGREJ. After check-in hotel at Jaisalmer, we will reach a vantage point on a hilltop where from the 100 years old Jaisalmer fort, famously known as SONAR KELLA can be seen at its full glory and shoot the tungsten lit fort in the late evening and blue hours to capture its beauty in the best possible way from the best possible place(we will be needed a TRIPOD here).
Day 4 Jaisalmer (Gadisar Lake, Khuri Dune, Light Painting & Milkyway)

By 5 am, we will depart for Gadisar lake to catch the first rays of the sun behind the lake and the sculptures. We will get back to hotel to have breakfast and start for Khuri sand dune.
Reaching Khuri, after having the evening tea, we will head towards the sand dunes to catch the play of light and shadow on the golden matrix. Will continue desert shoot watching the sun go down behind the dunes.
Day 5 Khuri (Sand Dune, Camel Safari & Cultural Shoot)

05 00 am Departure for sand dunes
Desert photoshoot: We will do a lot of experiments with light and shadows on dunes, with camels and the camel drivers and the lines and curves getting created on the golden sands. On spot guidance of composition and exposure by the mentors will be provided to create stunning landscape and people photography on the go. Participants will be benefitted with the knowledge of using lights, shadows, lines, curves, shapes, silhouttes, humans, animals and other geometrical forms in the best possible way to create their lifetime memories. We can have camel safari for a ride for the lifetime.
After lunch will visit the nearby village to catch the glimpse of their daily life.
5: 00 pm to 7 pm: Departure for the desert well to capture the daily life of village women while fetching water and walk away back to their home.
In the evening, the entire team will be entertained with the Grand Rajasthani Cultural Evening adorned with folk songs and dances followed by dinner with local delicacy.
Day 6 Khuri-Jodhpur

We will start early in the morning so as to reach Jodhpur by noon.
Participants will be dropped at Jodhpur Railway Station/Airport/Hotel.

During this royal tour, we always will encourage you to capture the cultural heritage of Rajasthan in a candid and natural way as much as possible to record the true essence of this vibrant state.

Am I eligible for this tour?
Anyone above 18 years (unless accompanied by a parent or guardian) is welcome to join this photo tour.
I am new to photography. Will I join this trip?
Yes of course. This tour is for all photography enthusiastic people. The more you travel and explore, the more your photographic eye will open. Moreover, our team leaders will ensure to give special attention to the beginners.
I am not a serious photographer, just a traveler. Shall I join this trip?
Yes, you too can join this tour as our tours are designed for both serious photographers and casual travelers for the purpose of both learning and entertainment. But you need to pay the amount of the full fee as the seats are limited and you could take place of a full paid serious photographer.
What equipments are required for this Trip?
Well, even the point and shoot camera will work fine. If you have a DSLR camera, any zoom lens and a wide-angle lens will work best. You may also bring a portrait lens like 50mm or 85mm prime(classic 70-200mm f/2.8 can be the best for the purpose). A wide-angle lens will be helpful to shoot the vastness and the lines and curves of the desert and end to end of the historical forts. Tripod is required to shoot the low light night shot. A laptop with post-processing software, an extension charging board, an external hard drive, and extra memory cards will be helpful. For review session, you must carry a pen drive along with.
What is the difference between ASP workshop Photo Tours and other tours?
We are not offering a package tour for general tourists; it is specifically meant for photography enthusiastic people and designed by experienced professional photographers. You will discover the place and learn a lot about this ancient city, local people and their culture which is an important part of our travel photography. We will try to observe the local people, their daily activities and cultural beliefs and will try to capture those moments using the right compositions and techniques. Our Team Leaders will help our guests to learn camera settings, framing and as well as post-processing. FEE INCLUDES

- Accommodation on a shared room basis in a standard heritage hotel(couples/friends/partners are allowed to share rooms). A family with one kid can be allowed in a single room.
- All local transports related to our photo tour.
- Workshop fee, on-field assistance, image reviews, and guidance on post-processing.
FEE DOESN’T INCLUDE

- Train/air tickets to and fro.
- Pick up and drop from and to the station or airport to the hotel.
- Any food items and beverages, apart from the standard meals. Mineral water will be provided. Any individual orders are done by participants to be paid by the participant himself.
- Any tips to local people, entry tickets for self and cameras.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If you cancel your registration, then you will be charged according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:

- Before 60 days: 25%
- 60-45 days: 50%
- 45-30 days: 75%
- Less than 30 days: No refund
Under any unavoidable circumstances, if we have to cancel our photo tour, your entire booking money will be refunded.
